So, he admmited that he had an "affair" during his campain.
What's the big deal? All politicians are out to fuck all of us anyway.

What can I say that JC and Goody haven't expressed?! I'd like to see the day when the Media stops being so freakn' nosey and getting into peoples personal business, that will be the day!

We have the same problems in the UK. The press claim that they are reporting these things in the national interest, the other reason , of course, is that this kind of story sells copy and as long as it does they will keep digging up this kind of dirt and say hell to the consequences. Basically the press sucks.

Reportedly, Edwards paid hush money to Miss Hunter and moved her around the country, living in fancy mansions to keep her out of the Inquirers camera range. Where did that money come from? Donations from supporters from his failed run for the presidential nomination in 2008? Did he convince wealthy donors to kick in the hush money so as not to be traced to him and his campaign? Has he really ended the affair?
I know that if I was to reveal an affair such as this to my wife, I'd be a freakin' dead man, immediate and painful death! If I only told her part of the story and little by little more of the truth came out.......sh*t my fate would be death of a thousand cuts!!!!

I don't like discussing politicians...a fleeting mention of one or two once in awhile I guess is alright, but I don't like a topic of any politicians.

At the risk of getting this deleated. Most people don't pretent to hold themselvs to a "higher" moral standard than everyone else. Politicians are constantly telling eveyone that'll listen how perfect they are. Of course with your statement, I suppose you figure Ted didn't really murder Mary Jo.

I guess the part that bugs me has nothing to do with being a politician. He is a cheating spouse, it is what it is, millions of people do it every day. In light of what his wife is going through with cancer, etc. the "reporters" should have minded their own darn business. This should be a private matter between the Edwards family and Ms. Hunter. I'm sick of the media and their "need to know everything" attitude. I'm not an Edwards supporter but he's not running for President, he's not running on a ticket, why in the heck does his family have to be dragged through this now?

Shouldn't the "reporters" [term applied loosely] always mind thier business? That is the business of reporting news instead of thier ideas?
