Refreshing and New Approach
I was just thinking... what would you do for a new and refreshing approach on life from appearance to a new outlook on life? I'm in need and desire of a total new tica, from cutting and highlighting my long hair, to other personal behavior and life patterns... letting loose, letting go and saying the hell with it. I'll put all the old in a suitcase thus sending it somewhere never to be found again.

Sometimes I want to just lock the house up and run away from everything, just to see what I've been missing.

Re: Refreshing and New Approach
I feel fortunate, I have found out what I have been missing. The freedom to come and go as I please. There are some wonderful men in this world..

Re: Refreshing and New Approach
some times i wish that i could gain for custody of my daughters...take them and move some place far away from Mn...but i know that's not a good idea, i mean, mom's not putting them in danger, or nothing like that, so if i ever did try, it'd just end up becoming a messy situation, and in the long run, do more harm than good...

Concidering my occupation, I do the opposite. Lock the doors and stay in.

Re: Refreshing and New Approach
I think from time to time we all wish that we could be something different from what we are. I have been in your shoes Tica, being a caregiver for a very long period of time. I often just wanted to run away from everything and everybody but then when mother passed and I no longer had the responsibility of caring for her I found that I was totally lost and did not know what do do with myself. I found myself looking for something or someone to fill the void that was left. I tried several different things and now I have settled on childcare in our home. I guess once a caregiver, always a caregiver. At least for me anyway.

Re: Refreshing and New Approach
Overall, I'm happy with my life. It seems to have taken forever to get to this point but am happy where I'm at.

Thank you Irishwoman for the understanding and compassion. Being a caretaker takes devotion, dedication and a special kind of love. Currently I'm searching for a place of my own, moving on with my life. For a short time I'll stay close by making sure my parents have the stability; and are able to live their lives independently prior to me leaving the area. It's been a half a decade since I've lived alone and had my own life, what a journey it has been!
