At nearly 50 i find that i am having self asst em issues .Has this happened to any of you ladies?

Did you always have self esteem issues?
I do know that some women who have always been physically beautiful go through this kind of thing when they reach a more mature age...I think most women go through this.
I've known women who have all thier lives never needed anything of themselves but their looks to get by in life, they go through a phase later on and sometimes it's pretty hard on them, but they get through it, it's another phase of life and living.
Of course you're still beautiful, but..ya know...there comes a time I think for many of us where it's just not such a priority anymore to focus so much on our physical side, and not worry about whether others think we're attractive, but a wonderful freeing time when we feel attractive and are attractive and it has nothing to do with what we think others see in us...it's just us...we focus on who we are as a whole, inside and out, then comes this glow (that many younger men talk about) a glow of confidence, a glow of knowing who we are, what we want.
Sometimes the most beautiful assests we have sit on the back burner for decades, and it's a wonderful time when we get to discover so much of our hidden or fogotten talents, so much of our inner self. Then we truly have it all, the outer and inner beauty that makes a more mature woman so sexy.

You know i have those days when i focus on life's main priorities and then they are days like this when i think "Girl you are not getting any younger things are going south here lolBut in general i try to focus on others wants and needs before my own ,which i think we are meant to do as we get older.
I have lost so many family members over the years .Just lost a fav cousin who i adored to cancer.So yes i do take life seriously.I did not mean for it to sound like i was just focusing on me.Have 4 beautiful children they are my number one priotey.Thanks Chazzy you are a Charm ..Sensuousbilady

But it is so true, it's that the experiences of a longer life, of having priorities in place that do give the mature women an air of confidence, a glow of knowing exactly what we want that makes us interesting, beautiful and sexy...how many times when we were so young, that we worried if we were hot, hot enough, hotter than her or her...gawd, we must have been so boring and self absorbed to so many! (And that's why allot of younger men prefer older women )
You are at a fantastic time in your life, and you look fantastic too!

oh yes i know i am and i am taking it all in .I do think as we age we make peace with ourselves about certain things in our life's .Maybe mistakes we made when we were young etc.The beauty of it all is it is our time to celebrate enjoy what we have succeeded in being our children accomplishments are our achievements in.Theres a bit old world out there and nows the time to relax and enjoy it.

A) You are definitely an attractive woman and "doable"!
B) Self esteem issues are not only about the ladies. Men certainly also have "mid-life crisis" issues as well. For example, I played a lot of sport for many years (15 years competitive rugby, some representative basketball, won athletics meets, and played almost any other sport invented at one time or another). I was always fit, toned and in shape (particularly when I was in the Army), but now that I am in my 40's and the six pack is gone, the waist is thickening, the hair is going etc., I am also facing these self esteem issues. But I am finding my self esteeem in other areas, by being good at my job, by bringing up a little boy well, by having the self confidence and self knowledge that only time, maturity and life experience brings etc. I now have a charisma and power that comes from my persona rather than my body and that is often sexier. I am happy in my less than perfect body and comfortable with it because I am happy within myself and just loving being alive and healthy.

Seriously, it's how you feel inside about yourself, but to me, you have nothing to fear about turning 50, get out there and carry on enjoying your life. You look amazing, and i have a feeling, you have a life to match.
