Time to replace your cell phone?
Recently, my wife and I were due for an upgrade for our cell phones. Seeing that our 2 year contract agreement had expired, we were due an upgrade, so we went to the Verizon store and inquired as to what we could get as a free upgrade phone. Big surprise!! Now, the upgrades are not free or even reasonable. They were talking something like $125 each for new phones.
After shaking our heads no to the salesman, another person there told us to check the Verizon website for deals. Well, he was right. The upgrade phones were mostly free (with a new two year agreement) with free overnight delivery and free activation.
We are now proud owners of the new version (W755) of the old Razr(V3) phone. It's narrower and just a hair thicker with a brighter screen and a much better camera feature. Total cost with tax and shipping for two new phones.....$28.95!!! If we had gotten them at the store...$250

Re: Time to replace your cell phone?
I meant to say in my post that if you are a Verizon customer with a contract and you are eligible for an upgrade, go on line, get a much better price or even a free phone upgrade than you'll be offered at the Verizon store.
Verizon will send it to you FedEx overnight and when you receive the phone, a special number is supplied for you to call for easy activation of the new phone and deactivation of your old phone.

I recently switched to Verizon over the internet... ordered 3 phones and the family pack. Total cost for phones and shipping.... 0, zilch, nodda. I payed the first "higher" bill and got the next one for August. I'd have to say that I'm happy with them so far. I've had home service with them for many years now. Never had any problems whatsoever.

I'm seriously thinking about doing away with my landline phone (through the cable company) and just having my cell as my main phone. I very rarely use my landline phone to make calls anyway.

That was the salesman at that store. I've checked since mine is due for an upgrade. I can get the same prices at a store as I would online.----------and no waiting.
