Paris Hilton ad
McCain ran can ad showing Paris and Britney. This comparing Barack to the celebrity type thing.
Paris did an ad rebutting it. Good ad, ya need to see it.

I think she did a fine job! I'll support her in anything she attempts to do(except drink and drive)
I love the posted comment I saw saying something like...
"Paris running for President is better than McCain releasing his sex tape"
I think I can echo that thought!

(DISCLAIMER!!!! I do not consider this a political topic, I see this as a Paris topic and anyone stating that they like or dislike Paris or the job she did making an ad, does not in anyway, in my mind show support for a candidate.)
IF this should turn in the direction of the candidates, it will have to be locked.
It need not go there, I've found that anything can turn politcial...some can just post "Whew! It sure is hot oustside today" and a few replies later, someone says "global warming" a few more replies down, some one goes off on global warming consipiracy and who's in on the whole cover up...and bam,...there ya go.
No one is asking what we think of either candidate or their platforms, just what we think of Paris's ad.
Keep it about Paris,please and we're good.

I saw the Jeane Moos report on the ad, and the ad in its entirety...I do think she did a pretty good job, They say she memorized her lines and did it in just 4 takes...maybe she really is laying off the hooch.

I've seen that ad a dozen times or so. To my mind, she did memorize it. From what I know of Paris, she is semi-illiterate so I don't think she was reading from a q-card,(flash cards maybe). It seemed too smooth for q-card reading.
Maybe she isn't as buffoonish and unskilled as she let on previously! Maybe just maybe, the woman has acting skills.
But for my tastes........she too f*ckin' skinny.  Classically beautiful but s-k-i-n-n-y!!!!

I really like this ad. She said what many in this country are thinking. I am willing to bet that both candidates paid a lot of attention to it because of what she said.
So what if she momorized her lines. Name one actor that doesn't.

I know I was giving her due credit by mentioning that she memorized her lines, and only took 4 takes...that's a very good thing considering how many people must use cue cards, teleprompters and dozens of takes to get something right.
I will say, VB...maybe the woman has acting skills? Not from any serious effort I've seen of hers can she act or sing, but she's a beautiful blonde young heiress and she does that very well and she did a fine job with this little project, which was cooked up by the two guys that run Will Farrell's website, it was their brain child.
How much of the written script she memorized was her and how much were the two comedians from Farrell's website...I dunno...
(I can't say anything bad about her as long as she no longer drinks and drives, that was the only part of her life that I considered any of my business really)

Up until I saw her on Larry King, I assumed she was a very attractive retard. She looked somewhat sexy in her video I saw but from what I understood of her not even graduating high school and rumors of her not being able to even read a menu, I figured she was only capable of spreading her legs. That political ad was done with panache and skill whether she read q-cards or memorized it. The girl has skills ......but she's still too damn skinny!!!

From what I gather, she did not write the script for this parody...either her publicist wrote it with the approval and help from the Will Farrell website guys, or they wrote it with the help and approval of her publicists.
Either way, she did have to spend time learning to pronounce certain words, quite a bit of time to memorize it, which was a good choice for her, if she had obviously been looking at and reading from a teleprompter, she would have looked pretty dumb on film, but she, again I say...did quite a good job of pulling this off.

Hey, I may be able to write my own parody, but then again, I don't have a family name that requires a publicist...
I could do a parody too, but I'm sure I would have to rehearse and memorize just as much as she did.
