Re: 'Puter programs
Using Vista, there is already a service pack 1, but after thoroughly reading up on this and inspecting my system, it's not required at the moment for me to upload it, so I'm leaving well enough alone.

Re: 'Puter programs
I have Vista in my other 'puter and it works ok. I don't use it much so well enough is well enough.

Re: 'Puter programs
I still have XP, I"m not one to want or need the newest upgrades and software...as long as I have the basics, Word, Notepad, a good Paint Shop Pro program (older version that I prefer) I'm good....

Me either. If ya remember, I had to replace one of my laptops as the anti-virus killed the lcd on the one.

Re: 'Puter programs
XP SP3 and Vista SP1 were released at the same time, and at least in the computer world, made a pretty big splash. XP's SP3 has actually made XP run better than Vista, again...

I keep mine as simple as possible, I don't like the fact that with Vista that microsoft and the government can see everything you do. I also believe that the new upgrade on XP does the same thing.
Even though it's not been announced there is no privacy act in the US anymore

I figured since being online is a pulic area that i have no privacy. It's like truck drivers complaining about a person interupting thier converation on a public radio.

I'd be happy if the "straight" men on here wouldn''t look at my profile.

One other thing. I'd much rather have this federal government looking into my 'puter than most of the scammers, spammers and id theft persons.

If that is the case with our government taking away our privacy, then all of us can walk around naked and not get charged with indecent exposure, right?
