feng shui
Anyone into this? I'm talking about arranging and planning your home and arranging your furniture to harmonize with the earth by doing things like placing your headboard of your bed in a certain compass direction, making sure you have representation of all the earth elements like water, fire, etc...?

Re: feng shui
I have mine arranged how they'll fit in the rooms. If I tried to arrange things to be harmonious with earth, the bed would never fit in the bedroom.

Re: feng shui
The idea behind it all, I think...is that by arranging furniture and haveing the "earth elements" in certain positions, it's suppose to bring wealth, health and happiness into the house, the flow of energy is uninterrupted, you'll sleep more peacefully with the headboard pointing a certain direction.

Re: feng shui
Years ago I did this. Some of the concepts made sense with putting it together within the home. After completing this feng shui experience certain objects and things looked strange, so I reverted my home back to how it originally was... just keeping it simple, and happy!

Interesting point. Would your life be happier, and perhaps heathier if things were arranged so you're comfortable? If a person is happy and healthy, they should be relaxed enough to be wealthy.

Re: feng shui
Nothing in the world can make you happy if you're not content within yourself, keeping a positive attitude helps conquer many of life's negatives from... happiness, to health to whatever wealth you want, and wealth doesn't necessarily mean money. If you have your health, that's more than half the battle. If you have the essentials like a roof over your head, a place to lay your head, a little food, and bathroom facilities then most of the time everything else falls into place. When I was twiddling with feng shui, my life at the time was turned upside down so I tried everything including feng shui.
