So then I got out the duct tape...
My left flip flop broke the other day, I didn't have a shopping trip planned anytime too soon...so I got out the duct tape ...it's all good now....
Oh c'mon...I'm sure ya'all have done some sort of emergency duct tape repair...or maybe a hot glue gun quickie fix?

Re: So then I got out the duct tape...
A couple weeks ago,an airline for my front suspension developed an air leak. Upon further investigation, the line had broken at the compression fitting. Since this was the main line, I had to repair it.
I looked for a new 1/4 compression fitting, but failed to find one. So, I grabbed the duct tape, peeled off a strip about 1/4 inch wide and a few inches long. I cut off the old fitting, slide on the compression nut and wrapped the duct tape around the line. Well, I added too much so I unwrapped some, then tightened the line. I'm happy to say that it's been working fine since and because of underhood heat, it's melted the glue and sealed it even better than the compression fitting would have.
Oh, after getting home from this, I looked and there was an entire bag of new 1/4 inch compression fittings buried in the tool box.

That's something that would happen to me JC, always after the fact, then you find what you need or remember where you placed it.
Now about duct tape boo-boos, I freely state alot of times when chatting online.....<<<<<< placing duct tape over mouth since I really don't want to comment, most of the time it works, but sometimes it doesn't. Duct tape is so usedul and multi-purpose, I just love the stuff!

It's normal for me to not be able to find something. The easist way to find anything is to just get another. [not saying it works with wifes]--hehe
No, I still haven't put in a regular fitting.

Re: So then I got out the duct tape...
---------and always, I repeat always buy high quality duct tape. The inexpensive [cheap] stuff has poor adhesive. I prefer 3-M but there's some other brands too.

I was in the office about to go into a client meeting and a button fell off leaving my belly button on show.... so I stapled my shirt together.
Got away with it too.
