Pictures on Web Naughty
When any pictures are posted here, it's stamped by Web Naughty. I came across a profile with pictures, and on these pictures it had a Copyright symbol, the C with a circle around it(nothing with Web Naughty, on any of them) following the individuals profile handle (example: C ticaD), can anyone tell me why this is different and what it means?

Re: Pictures on Web Naughty
My best guess is that although they have pictures posted on the net, they do not want them copied and used elsewhere or passed off as someone eles, so having this text aross the photo is some type of protection from that...maybe they have had a problem before with others using their photos for website profiles, etc...

Re: Pictures on Web Naughty
Thanks Chazzy, that makes sense. I wonder if it's costly to have a Copyright for your online pictures?

Re: Pictures on Web Naughty
Copywritting is actually free, all you have to do is say its copywritted and it is (with the (C) symbol and the date. A Registered Copywrite is different, that's the (R) Symbol and date you see on a lot of things, which means that company took the time to have their copywrite recorded officially.
Basically, a copywrite is always implied, just not always enforced. Although, if you read the terms and conditions of the site, Webnaughty can use these pics for any reason they want to, but us loading them on their site, we are giving them the photos for free. Technically speaking, anyone loading a pic with a copywrite note on it is breaking the terms and conditions of the site.

I just looked this up in Web Naughty's 'Membership Agreement':

This mostly means, you cannot upload a photo of Mickey Mouse, or someone elses art work, or a celeb...copyrighted material, tons of us violate that one everytime we do a copy and past of an article or part of an article we find online. Even having song lyrics as your ad text is technically a copyright violation.
The part about webnaughty using your photos anyway they want, just means some photos may end up in a banner ad (I haven't seen this myself,) but mostly, it means your photo may end up in the rotation of photos you see on the front page.
