How embarrassing..........
With all the concern with gas prices, mortgage foreclosures and the world wide erectile dysfunction epidemic, I need to know the last time you accidentally or intentionally expelled "exhaust" gasses and whether anyone else in the immediate "blast zone" was aware that you were the perpetrator? Also, did you leave a scent that is indelibly etched on your victims memories?
I have been the victim of such an attack more than a few times in my short 58 year life adventure and I have to admit that I may have been the perpetrator a few times . I'm sure if I was in the company of one of my victims, their old memories would come rushing back....sort of a "post fartum syndrome"!!

Re: How embarrassing..........
Most of mine are loud enough that anyone caught in the area are aware of it. Since they're loud they aren't very smelly.----usually. Rarely an SBD here.
Remember, all a fart is, is a burp that made a wrong turn.

Well, some are. I'm just honest about it. A fart is a natural thing that happens. Of course a person should excuse themselves or at least tell others it happened.

Re: How embarrassing..........
If you know that moment is coming upon you, there are times where you can silently allow them to waif into thin air making sure you're far away from everyone since you don't know if it will be a smelly one or not. The other forms are not intentional, and you try to excuse yourself through those. Yeah, it is embarassing but that is part of the human body expelling, nothing you can do to stop it.

Re: How embarrassing..........
Is there a "Miss Manners" as it applies to farting while in the company of others? If there is, I'll need to read up on proper manners as to notifying others during and after the infraction.

Re: How embarrassing..........
I used to be a leader for both the cub scouts and the boy scouts. When I was on camping trips with the boy scouts they used to sit around the campfire and actually have farting contests. Oh, by the way, in case you are wondering my husband was also a leader along with 2 other couples, and another woman. Anyway, the boys thought that I was so COOL when I would raise up and cut one as good as theirs. Gross maybe, I know, but if you want to have a good relationship with kids you have to get down on their level.
