When the Cable TV goes out..
The other afternoon, a storm came through, lightening struck just across the street, the Cable must have taken a severe hit...cuz two days now without TV...it'll do weird thngs to your mind I tell ya..
I always loved to google a bit everyday, but with no TV, I'm googling my freakin' brains out...I just now googled "How does shelf stable milk stay fresh"...just because that thought crossed my mind, ya'all don't even wanna know the stuff I've been googling the past two days!

we shut our cable off on purpose a couple months ago! amazing how much "energy" we have now, shit actually is getting done. lol

Problem is, my cable, phone and internet service is bundled so in bad weather if the cable goes out, chances are the phone and internet are also effected.
So when the cable goes out, my wife and I have mad, impassioned sex........not necessarily with each other but we have sex !!

Some like Moonhowler use the pronuciation and spelling "Ya'll" (Yawl), in my area it's a quick two syllables..."Ya'all" (ya all)
I've used it thousands of times here, I often type out just how I speak instead of the correctly spelled word..like "gotta" "gonna" "one helluva...." and I also leave off the "g" in a word ending in "...ing" like "freakin'"

We've been thinkin' about switching to Dish TV, but we checked on Digital Cable through the ISP/Phone company and set up an appointment to get hooked up...it'll be about a week.
Bundling the DSL,long distance phone and digitable cable all together will only really cost us about 40 bucks a month more than what we were paying for just DSL and basic phone.

I've discussed the Direct TV option with a friend of mine and from what I gather, he pays about $89/month with HD service. No premium channels (hbo, cinemax, ect) or HD DVR's are included. The additional HD DVR's would probably add another $10/month.
Direct TV does offer about 100 hd channels so that alone beats the sh*t out of any cable offering......that is if you have tv's that are capable of displaying a hd picture.
Just my 2 cents.......

I tried to get Direct TV HD, but they could not get a good line to the satellite. So my only option is the very expensive cable.

Our isp/phone company thinks we can get the digital cable, they're pretty sure but won't really know for sure till they actually show up here at the house...if we can't get it (it's very new in our area) then it's back to cable or on to satelite.
