Good lies
Little lies, good lies...I do it, I'm sure we all do it..even when we run into someone and they ask "how are you?" we usually lie and say "Just fine!" even when things are far from "just fine"
Even when something horrible is going on in my life, I always lie and tell my parents everything is just great, they are too old and have spent enough of their time on earth worrying about their kids so yep, I do lie so they won't worry and get upset about things.
If the hubs asks how much we spent on groceries, I round in down, it's not much of a difference really, but it makes him feel a bit better for some reason.
What are some of your "little white lies"...little lies that you tell to keep peace, give others peace of mind?

I never lie, never ever!!! 
I agree it's easier to tell little lie's, such as i'm ok, rather then having to go into detail of whats really wrong with you.
Or if you don't want to hurt someone else's feelings. So i do tell little lie's sometimes.

My parents do the same thing to me though....one day Mom will call and say..."We didn't wanna worry you but Dad had some majorsurgerythingy last week, but he's home and doing fine now"
Dammit, I talk to them every week by phone, I never hear that Dad's doc found a problem, Dad is scheduled for surgery or anything like that...it's always the after the fact "We didn't want you to worry..."

Watch the character of a persons non-verbals, the tone of their voice, and physical re-actions and actions at onset of the lie, most of the time you can pin point if they are lying or not.
