The grapevine
What about gossip? Do you indulge? Do you see it as just fun and harmless conversation between friends?
How do you handle people close to you that just gossip too much, enjoy it too much...do you try to steer away from it subtlely or just flat out refuse openely?

With family, I keep my personal life private for many reasons, and have found it also works best in other situations... If not, it becomes a three ring circus, which I'm sure the majority of us don't appreciate or enjoy. When a friend or someone confides in me discussing their personal life I respect that, keeping it discreet, and want that respect in return.

Gossip is something I prefer not to participate in.  Mom always told me "If you can't say something good, then don't say anything at all."  Besides, I have been the topic of others gossip to many times.  If some of my acquaintances knew that I played and posted on WN they would have a hay day.
