Another Olympic team!
I've noticed that a particular schoolyard activity is now an Olympic sport, namely jump rope! F*cking jump rope? You gotta be freakin' sh*ttin' me!!
Well I'm going to petition the international Olympic committee on the behalf of a Trepedation Team....namely a world class farting team! Hey, if jump rope is now recognized as a "sport" then farting sure fits the bill!
I want to offer myself as the captain of the American team. I feel I can guide a team of eager young men and women that have the control and talent to make America proud and bring home the gold medal. I have thought about being a player-manager for the team but unfortunately, I no longer have the strength, stamina nor the control that is needed in such an endeavor. I have found as I've gotten older, nasty accidents have occurred at inopportune moments and that could mean our team not winning a medal so I would gladly be a coach, passing along all my knowledge and experience.
Are there any of you men or women that would gladly volunteer your farting talent to the team. either as a participant or as a coach, to once again, make America proud?

Re: Another Olympic team!
Aside from the Olympics, I've stumbled across several "sports" events on TV...okay, arm wrestling...I can see that, but "rock, paper, scissors" competitions?
What about poker? Tournaments all over the place, is that sport? ESPN runs grade school spelling bees...is that a sport? What about cheerleading...sport? Is jump roping less of an athetic feat than syncronized swimming? Are jump ropers less of an athelete than golfers, bowlers or archers?

Archery and golf is an acquired skill. Bowling is a reason to drink beer and nothing else! Poker? Are you sh*ttin' me? A sport? Please!!
Oh by the way, the word is "Trepitation". I wouldn't want you to think I'm not a stickler for accuracy.

Re: Another Olympic team!
I'm sure there is skill in the jump roping thing too...I certainly don't think an unskilled amateur should try double dutching with the pros....there would be injuries!
Volleyball, badminton, horseshoe and washer pitching...all considered sports...they're just back yard BBQ activities to me...

Club swinging
1904, 1932
Not in fact a night out for bored couples, but an event that involved swinging a club festooned with ribbons very quickly around the body and head, in a complicated routine. At the 1932 Games, American George Roth displayed a level of dedication seldom seen in the modern Olympic era. It was the Great Depression and Roth was unemployed and hungry. Yet he won gold. Seconds after being awarded his medal in front of 60,000 spectators, he walked out of the stadium in Los Angeles and hitchhiked home.

Re: Another Olympic team!
What, still no interest in joining my Olympic Farting Team? I would have thought there'd be a rush to join!
If you do choose to join, please specify your reasons, be they patriotic, personal or just exhibitionist! What do you bring to the table?
