Oh yes, very strange, I agree...I hope something more than struts and flexible skins are protecting the gas tank?

We decided to nick name this BMgina, because saying it that way sounds like Vagina!
Hate to get in an accident in that though though, cloth wont do much and will make the repair cost very high.

I'm sure BMW has or will make sure the car is more than crash worthy as are all thier vehicles.--Now, if Ford or GM was doing this,I'd definately be scared.
