Gettysburg Bike Week
Hi everyone! I just wanted to know if anyone here has been or is going to Gettysburg Bike Week in Pa.July 10-13,2008?I'm thinking about going but would like hear from anyone that's been there.

I am sure I'll be there at least one day. I'll be the old man on the motorcycle!!!! 
Hope you reserved a room somewhere??? It'll be very crowded.

Ah man! I'd love to just visit Gettysburg one day...just for the history.

I haven't done anything yet Hobscoth,I thought I might get a camp site but my sister said I should get a room if I can.I hope I can make it,I'll check tomorow for rooms and see what's avalible.Do you know much about the place or have you ever been there?Where do you go when you get there?Just follow everyone else?I hope my old Honda makes it if I go.
You're not that old!a friend of mine has a Goldwing and he and his wife went for ride the other day and he's 83 ! I hope I can still ride at that age.Chazzy I wish you could come also,I'd give you a ride if I could!

You should have a relatively easy trip from Philippi to Gettysburg. I know where you are located. I was just down your way last month while on a long MC trip to southwestern Ohio and back.
I live about 65 miles east of Gettysburg and have been there many times. So, I'll commute to the event. More riding that way.
The main event site is actually south of town on Business Rte 15. Everything will be well marked, and local area maps are available.

I bet it's a blast! I'd go just to roam around Gettysburg!
They're havin' a biker ralley down the road here July 17-20... Second year in a row. It's a hell of a site watchin' all those bikes roarin' through town.

Several of us recently rode down to Munster,Tx. It was a good ride and there were a lot of bikes from all over. Hmmm Rally near Moon?? Gonna have to check my schedule for that one..

There's a bike repair shop just down the road from me, some weekends when the weather is good, I see droves, packs. whatever you call a bunch of them all together!
They are very respectful and courteous, they are the rare ones that actually do the speed limit through my residential area.

I guess I'm not going to make it that week(July,10th-13)My brother (that lives in NY) want's to go later in the year so his son and maybe other friends can go at the same time and see some of the sites in and around there.I guess I'll be riding alone unless I find someone between now and then.Have a great day wveryone!    3some .gif">

Nope, but I am planning on doing Hollister over the 4th!!!
Wish I could of done the ROT rally last weekend.
