What are you paying at the pump?
I'm still astounded how often the price of gas is increasing, it's past the $4 dollar a gallon mark now in Illinois.
Here in Missouir it's still under 4 bucks, I don't have to drive more than 8 miles round trip in my car and don't have to put gas in but once a week if that often, last time it was $3.68.
What are you paying in your area?

i've been hearing something about the Government creating a cap...not letting it get above $4.00...but since some of you are already paying over $4.00...i guess that's a false rumor...

Re: What are you paying at the pump?
Well in South Africa we pay 8rand a liter regular. That works out to roughly one US dollar. But with what our money is worth these days it is killing our economy as food becomes to expensive and clothing and homes and so on. And with a 40% unemployment rate it makes poor people poorer. What might sound like cheap to you is way too expensive for us. Would like to find out sometime what the rest of the world is paying on interest though. We are paying between 16 and 35% depending on the loan.

I did see one gas station a couple towns away had there gas at $3.94. That is the highest I have seen it. I don't think they have been very busy because everyone else has it for $3.79.

Re: What are you paying at the pump?
Apparently we are not paying enough for gas anywhere in the industrialized world? OPEC is engaged in elementary economic terrorism while the US through its tree huggers is just sitting on major untapped oil deposits in the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska, not to mention occupying an oil rich country it has essentially conquered with the lives of how many soldiers?

Re: What are you paying at the pump?
Ours varies from one side of the river to the other, somedays $3.99 others $4.10. Twenty miles down the road from us closest to the local refinery it's $3.79. The logic behind this price range is that it costs more for them to transport gas to our area..lmao

Re: What are you paying at the pump?
From what I've seen this last week, at least in MN and IA the diesel prices fell from 5 to 10 cents per gallon. I figure they only lowered it so it more of a shock when they raise it again.
I've figured since last year that diesel will be $5 per gallon by August.

Re: What are you paying at the pump?
I know this is going to be , but here it goes. We all know that with the former and current technology, the car makers can make cars that get 3 times or more in gas mileage. But why is it they won't do it? Way back in the mid sixties, a guy bought a new truck, diesel, and was driving it and couldn't figure out why the gas gauge wouldn't move much. Here it was getting around 70 miles to the gallon, and the manufacture wanted it back, as he got the wrong motor in it. I can remember seeing the blueprints for new carburetors that would get your 70's car over the 100 MPG. What gives???

Re: What are you paying at the pump?
Well it must be nice to have cheap gas as here in california it's $4.65 for the cheap gas and in some place's it's over $5.00 . While I was on vaction back east I payed anywhere from $3.67 to $3.79 and for me that was cheap. Thank god my bike get's 44 mile's to the gallon and my truck get's about 25 mile's to the gallon.
