Pictures from Mars...
Images coming from a land rover on Mars, I just think it's cool!
When the most we have had is the imagination of science fiction creators, it's just way cool to actually see the landsape of another planet!
Oh sure, all those billions of dollars could have been put to good use on Earth, but...hell...space stuff is just soooo cool!

I have to agree with you Chazzy. I've always liked space missions. Its the discovery of the unknown. I think it started when the company that my dad worked for made some of the parts for the Apollo missions.

Everytime I hear them report about "bringing back samples" and stuff, I think of every sci-fi horror space movie I've ever seen! 
But I love the footage and photos they release!

Discovery Channel is starting a 6 part series Sunday, "When We Left Earth"
I'm going to try very hard to catch all of the series, anyone else gonna be watching?

I watched the whole Mars landing a week ago. Have to say it is all pretty cool stuff.

i can remember thinking shortly after the moon landing that we might not be the first nation to land on Mars,but we would most certainly be the fist one to send it foreign aid..........lol

I missed the Mars thing, but of course...like any other channel on cable, they will re-run it often I'm sure!
The moon landing and Apollo 13 are the episodes running tonight. I hope to be sitting up and able to catch the whole thing.

I did watch the Mars Rovers documentary on NatGeo channel today, wow....it does just blow me away that those two rovers worked for five years, all the problems and obstacles, and the footage was just amazing, I'll have to look up some more of the photos on the net.
