Being from central WI, beer, beer tents, fishing with beer, working on the car with beer going to a movie and having beer are all typical. Oh, forgot to mention going out to a bar.

Hot dish (always made with a cream of something soup), bars (dessert), church ladies (usually Norwegian and Lutheran), everyone's related to 3/4 of the rest of the county, lefse, ludefisk (but don't be in a rush to sample that one -- its' made with lye), uf dah, Ole and Lena jokes, 20,000 pristine lakes, walleye, wind chill, snowmobiles, great educational system, fantastic medical care, low pollution and crime, Mall of America, Bob Dylan...
and, of course, ME!

Well now that you mentioned it, I used to have a NK cap. But that one went to cap heaven a few years ago. About the water skipping, there is one this weekend or next weekend, I think, in Grantsburg, WI.
