Got a garden?
Anyone else spending their time outside pruning, planting, digging and all that?
Whatcha got growing?
I plant tomatoes every year, just 6 to 8 plants...that whole honeybee thing screwed up last years crop, hoping for better this year.
I've got my perennials, but love buying 6 packs and trays of annuals for all the containers and flower beds. Love the roses!

Re: Got a garden?
My parents had a garden for many years. They grew tomatos, green beans, cucumbers, rhubarb and. some aspargus. In later years it bcame too much work so it was no longer planted.-- Oh, it take years to get rid of aspargus.--hehe
The only plants I have are these pretty yellow flowers in my lawn.

Re: Got a garden?
Chazzy, I was outside yesterday absorbing the sunshine, getting my hands into Mother Earth, weeding Mom's flower gardens, and felt so good. She has such a lovely array of different Bulbs and timed perfectly with the weather, from the early spring peepings of Crocus' to Daffodils, Tulips, Roses, Mums, Daisy's, Gladiolas, the list is endless... there's always some form of flower blooming here. I love flowers of any kind, from the wild flowers, to even some of the weeds... and of course hay, lol! (jokn')

Re: Got a garden?
If we miss a week of mowing our large rolling yard, it still looks good to me, wildflowers take over!

Re: Got a garden?
Have a small flower garden in the front yard. Some perineals and some annuals. I sort of let it go to long before weeding this time. Took me almost 4 hours. Whew. Also have my pond and rock garden in the back yard. Lots of container plants and little statuettes in there. That is my favorite spot.

Re: Got a garden?
Have planted tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberrys and a raspberry bush. Have apple trees and a huge magnolia tree, forsythia, and three jasmines.
A few pots with bedding plants in cos we have a lot of decking. have cut the grass and am now in the process of levelling the grass for the kids splash pool.
Also have a basketball hoop, a patio, a shed, climbing frame, swings and slides!!
What you would call a multi purpose garden!!! lol

Re: Got a garden?
i wish i could have one, but being on the 3rd floor, it's next to impossible...there is a community garden here, in my town, but to many people visit it, and illegally steal what you've grown...

Got my first green tomatoes! I'm so anxious to have those homegrown ripe ones...so much better than the hothouse grocery store ones...
