Pet Peeves
Ok everybody out there. I know we all have our pet peeves. Start listing them. One of my biggest is when I turn my blinker on to get into a turn lane and a car that is already in it comes blasting by me doing 35 or 40 miles per hour. I've nearly gotten clobbered that way several times. In the first place where I live you do not get into the turn lane until there is a linebreak for you to do so unless cars are already backed up past that point. And in the second place, once you are in the turn lane your speed is not supposed to exceed 15 m.p.h.

Inconsiderate, uncompassionate, untruthful, and deceitful people.

Re: Pet Peeves
Hmmm....I gotta say...I've learned to let go of peeves.
Even from this very forum over the years, I've learned that when we are asked "What do other people do that piss off or annoy you"...we can make lists pages and pages long...but if we ask "What is it about yourself that most annoys and pisses off people"...The list gets very small for those that reply at all, and we will try to justify and beautify all those things that we do that peeve others, all the things about us... things about ourselves that we don't see like others do, all the things that others see as rude, annoying, etc...
Everybody is annoying, everyone pisses off people.
I'm not dissing this post, not at all sweeties, just sharing a bit of my learned personal philosphy about the topic
Sure, yep...other people annoy me at times, but any more, the annoyance is jsut a passing thought and no longer a peeve that riles me, steams me or pisses me off.

Re: Pet Peeves
Wow Chazzy, very deep. I hope that some day I too can learn to let go of everything that annoys me but I am afraid that I am not yet able to do that. I don't hold on to it for a long period of time but I do tend to get a little pissed off when it happens. As for myself and the things that I do to annoy people I am sure the list is a long one. I am, however, able to listen when people share these things with me and try to make corrections as needed.

Re: Pet Peeves
Hey hon, I've worked really hard at gettin' this mellow!
It works for me, but maybe not for all...I beleive some people need to find healthy releases, and really having pet peeves is probably a good way to redirect and release some things...
