T-Shirts
After VB posted his T-shirt thread, I got to thinking about the history of the t-shirt, and as VB said, when did a t-shirt stop being just a piece of underwear and became casual wear?
I'm just guessing here but I guess it would have been in the early to mid 1950's when the plain white t-shirt began showing up as outer wear, accessorized with a pack of smokes rolled up in one sleeve James Dean style.
The sixties, the hippies began to tie dye and screen print political and social protest slogans on them.
The seventies had to be the decade of the rock band t-shirts. You could buy them off the rack, or at the concert as a souvenir.
The eighties, possibly when the era of the funny slogan humor t-shirts first became part of our wardrobes.
The nineties, it was mostly pro sports logos and the decade of the "free" t-shirts and ball caps with company and product logos advertisements
The last several decades also gave us all the event souvenirs t-shirts. If there was a festival, a charity event, a landmark, a timemark, it was commemorated on a t-shirt.
What's your t-shirt "collection" like? No nonsense pocket T's? Vintage souvenirs you've had for ages? Licensed sport team logos or something like Harley Davidson? Funny slogans?

Re: T-Shirts
The hubs likes his Cardinals, Rams, and Blues shirts and caps, but refuses to wear them if the team is extra sucky....he hasn't hardly ever worn his Blues shirts.
He dislikes wearing any business advertisement type of T's.
I just wear his colored pocket Hanes shirts that he's "outgrown"

What would be the difference between t-shirt VS. no t-shirt with them being wet?

That's what I think is pretty cool about people and their T-shirts, it's like their wardrobe is a wearable scrapbook...it shows what kind of music they like, the places they have been, the kind of humor they like...
