E-85
Just a suggestion.-- If your car doesn't reccomend this check with your dealer to see if it's compatible.
This will melt the fuel pump and other parts as they are made from a nylon/plastic.

Re: E-85
I found from experience that even using regualr ethanol in a 1995 T-bird can cause the fuel pump to start melting. It didn't completly melt, but caused white stuff in the fuel filter. I ceased using the ethanol and the white stuff dissappeared from the filter.

Re: E-85
i've used up to 30% in all my cars all the way back to a 70 skylark with no troubles. but then again they've all been rebuilt with new parts within the last decade.
there's a lot of myths out there about ethanol, hard to know what to believe. I know in this area most people claim it kills milage to where its more expensive to run e85 but i have a compatible truck and i only see a 2-3 mpg drop TOPS. (for some reason if i switch from one fuel to the other it seems i get shitty milage for that first tank but after that i'm good) plus e85 gives my little 4 banger a little more kick with that higher octane. lol

Re: E-85
What about these fuel injectors? What might they do to your exhaust especially in the brutal winter season? Am I making any sense? I want to be educated on this, help.

Re: E-85
BCB---The mileage tends to drop on the first tank because it's cleaning the fuel system out.
Tica--- It doesn't effect the fuel injectors with the exception of making them cleaner. As it does th entire fuel system. No effect on the exhaust either. It's actually better in the very cold winter months. Alcohol don't freeze as easily as the non-ethanol gas.

Re: E-85
My dad ran E-85 in his Ford Ranger. That truck was not designed to run E-85 in it. Had to replace the engine, as the E-85 burned it up, from the inside.
