U.N. aid shipments seized!
YANGON, Myanmar - Myanmar's junta seized U.N. aid shipments Friday meant for a multitude of hungry and homeless survivors of last week's devastating cyclone, forcing the world body to suspend further help.
Is this another Uganda under the rule of Idi Amin? WTF??!!

That is a real sad situation. People from all over the world are ready and willing to lend a helping hand, but the militaristic government refuses.

Also humanitarian workers are struggling to gain access to the country.
France has called for aid to be dropped by air into areas that need it most, which might have see a negative response from the junta and make the situation worse.

Lasti heard of this was that theUS and other aid was being held in Taiwan ----awaiting permission to enter.--Same with the workers.

Now they are going to let one plane load of supplies into the country. At least its a start. Too bad that the government also seized other humanitarian aid. That government's idea of assisting the citizens, was to give out some TVs and DVD players, but only a hand full. Like they had any place to put their stuff or any electricity to run them.

The Un has discontinnued sending aid as they require personnal to make sure the supplies are delivered. This country does not allow foreigners apparently.
