Your Prom Night
The other day, my neighbors across the road gathered outside to take pictures and see their daughter and her date off for thier prom night, ahh..she looked just like a princess in her formal and corsage!
How was your prom> Did you go? Was it a simplier deal or an all out with rented limo? Did ya get drunk, get laid , was it a night of magic or is it a darker memory for you?
Was there a Prom theme? Was it held at the school gym or at a ballroom or fancy hall?

I went to two, my own, and on of an older boyfriend, don't really remember too much about them, pretty average...they were in the school gym, no limos....a local band played...

I didn't attend either of my proms simply because I didn't want to. They were held in the school gym though with local band. The junior class was responsible for the theme and decorations. Simple and easy. I think that the prom scene has gotten a little out of hand these days. Our local prom is now held in a fancy restaurant with ballroom, the teens rent motel rooms and stay the night. Talk about encouraging trouble!!  We even have Jr. High Proms here in my town now. That really disappointed me because I felt that was something that should be kept and looked forward to as a Highschool experience.

Freshman year - was going to go with a good classmate of mine, but being just dumped not too long before prom, my ex-boyfriend had convinced me to go with him rather than my classmate. It was a miserable night. Limos were included.
Sophmore year - went with a boy who i had a long time crush on. It was fun, had a great time and I was crowned prom queen. Limos were included again.
Junior year - went with a guy that i was somewhat friends with. I liked him, he didn't like me in that way. We went, and after the part where everyone walks down the stage, and before the dance, we left and then i ditched him and went my own way.
Senior year - known this guy a long time, was a brother of a girl i went to school with. Didn't know who else to ask and asked him if he wanted to come with and so we went for awhile and didnt stay for the dance part. Didn't do much after that.

They never had proms when i was at school, they do now, and i'm going to the prom this year to help out, so it'll be my prom night!!!

I never went to my prom either. Didn't really have the need for it. Dinner was held outside of school at a larger resturant, but the dance was at the school gym, I think.

Didnt have proms when I left school either. We had the end of year disco, which, as I remember, was accompanied by the boys drinking too much cider!! lol lol lol

I went with a great guy to his senior prom, he was a year older than me and we had a blast! All the pomp and circumstance from the limo along with two other couples, to a restaurant; sit down dinner, then to the post prom parties, following a class picnic.

Ma never went to prom either, so if you would want to be her date, it could be both of your first prom's.

Oh excuse me, now the vid is on the top right of the CNN home page, under "Videos"....
I think it was the right decision NOT to let her into a school prom dressed in tiny strips of fabric! Geez....

I like the dress, for obvious reasons, but they were right not to allow her in the prom. No matter where the school function is, they still have to follow the school dress code.
