Usage of Computers
How long have you been using a computer? What OS did you start with, and/or computer?
I've started using computer's back in the 70's, and believe it or not, with a Commodore 64... gradually stepping up to a 286, then with a few more in between, . I use to play pong, . Oh..and I can't forget about Atari, which I went through a few of them! Then there was prodigy, I thought it was hog heaven, . Boy, technology has come a long way.

Re: Usage of Computers
Back in about 1983 - an Atari 800 (in my day, we had cassette tape drives - they would take hours to load, if they loaded at all, and we liked it! Not.). I also had a TI 99/4A at one point. Then onto DOS on an IBM clone.

Re: Usage of Computers
Blimey..... nostalgia trip.
I started out with a Spectrum ZX81... no OS whatsoever. Used to buy magazines where you literally programmed in a game line by line. Four hours later if you got so much as a colon wrong it didn't work.
Went on to have the old Intellivision console... ahhhh, Commodore 64.....
And now, I live on my Applemac. G5 beasty at my office, Titanium G4 laptop to wander round with.
(They might be advanced but they dont stop me from making terrible typos.... just ask Liberalwife)

Re: Usage of Computers
I kinda remember the punch cards, but used the punch tape a lot. You had to first type everything in the onto the punch tape, then turn around and load the tape into the reader. Then you just hoped that some day you would get a response. Screen/monitor was not even heard of. Had to use this huge key board called a teletype machine. It was so slow.
