Midwest earthquake
Who all got a feel of the midwest earthquake this morning, I slept through the main event, just has a little aftershock about an hour ago...
Funny thing, looking back to yesterday...there were animal instint warnings, but most of us didn't pay attention...ants suddenely invaded our homes, my old dog was extra fussy, I was all day telling the old fella to just settle down, he was anxious and ansy all day.
I guess since we just aren't use to earthquakes around here, we don't pay much attention to any warning signs.

Re: Midwest earthquake
Southern Missouri, Illinois, Indiana...just a huge chunk of the midwest...it's the New Madrid fault...don't see much action from it...the last earthquake here was a few years ago, and it was around 4am that time too

Re: Midwest earthquake
Didn't feel a thing but my ladies birds went ape shit in their cage. flying around and into the cage. Took awhile for them to settle down. I can think of better ways to get woke up at 0540am

Re: Midwest earthquake
I was in Cicero, IN when this happened. It woke me from shaking the truck. Silly me, I thought it was gusts of wind, which I also though strange since I parked so the wind wouldn't bother.--hehe
I was surprized to hear that it reached southern Wi and western IL by Rock Falls.

I think it is amazing how animals know something is going on before we do.

Re: Midwest earthquake
I do too, flp...of course we aren't use to earthquakes here, very rare...so when the insects and animals gave us ample warning, it just didn't register...
I know I just didn't equate the odd invasion of the ants, and my old dog's anxiety with an earthquake.

I miss mine... they not only give you unconditional love, they also are the keys to our surroundings from the weather, unexpected personal situations, unexplained strange occurances (like they can see things you can't) lol.

Re: Midwest earthquake
Hell, we are still having tremors here...again, the ants let me know!
I do pay attention to the animals when storms hit, it could be a myth, but supposedly..pets are more sensitive to pressure changes and can give some advance warning about tornados too.
