Cliques
Do you have them at work, in your community? Those little groups of select people that hang together?
Did you have allot of cliques in your high school, that's where they are usually prevalent...
The boys that bullied, the mean girls who put popularity above all else? Did you ever cave to peer pressure or try to be part of a clique?
I'll have to say I was lucky, small school...sure there were a few very small groups of mean snotty girls but they had very little impact on the rest of the students. Guys were more apt to be just stinkers and clowns than bullies..

Re: Cliques
Yeah Chazzy... we hadem, I didn't care a ratsskiddlyass about who was of the whoville, I got along with alot of them, and stayed neutral, and if they didn't like it, tough. I knew who my friends were and are, then and now.

Re: Cliques
Definitely! Not as bad with people our age,but I can relate to what the younger crowd is going through nowadays.Never was really part of any of'em myself, kinda drifted between the greasers, stoners, and street racers!

Re: Cliques
Yep, on rare occasions when I happen to run into someone I went to school with, someone that was picked on or snubbed... they run up with open arms so happy to see me...and I'm so happy that they know me as someone who treated them well.
This shit with teens now...geez...beating the crap outta each other just to get some video uploaded on youtube...something so wrong going on with that kind of thing.

Re: Cliques
I remember the kids that were ridiculed, picked on and snubbed...there was a couple of overweight kids, several girls that were of a strict religious household that had to wear long plain skirts, no jewelry or make up, hair tied back, low income kids that wore hand me downs...these were good kids, love seeing how well they are doing as adults...and weird...the uppitty snotty girls...most are drunks who lost their kids to social services...

Re: Cliques
Hey Chazzy, have you been to classmates online to see if any of your high school friends are on there? I have, and reminisce about certain things about them.

Re: Cliques
Nope, if I happen to see someone, that's great but I'm not much on keeping too many old ties...my parents still live in my old home town, so everyone keeps up with everyone else just through the ole small town grapevine...I love small town living!

Re: Cliques
Yes by all means we had our little groupies, and still do. We even have them where I work. That makes it very difficult, as if you are not with the "in crowd", you are kept up to speed as to what's happening. Unfortunately, that could get someone into some serious trouble. But as with everything, you just keep going.

Re: Cliques
Cliques are nothing but trouble. All they seem to do is disrupt the rest of the world to suit their own wants and desires. MOre often than not, they end up getting themselves in serious trouble.
My two cents.
