Can I suggest a little secret when preparing stews, soups, gravies etc.. use either Knoor's Beef or Chicken Bouillon, or some form of bouillon beef based or chicken based adds a beautiful flavor and works like a charm, and makes everything taste soo good! Yummm!

Re: Whatcha Got Cook'n Tonight?
What I usuallly do is to cut and start to brown the meat in the same pot as I[m going to cook the stew in. AFter I'm happy its brown enough, I add water and the rest of the ingredients. This way there's no waste [less dishes] and it makes it's own gravy. They trick is to not add too much water.
