Cyber Cafe (No. 2)
The Cyber Cafe...just a place to come in, say good morning, chat about whatever, how your day is going, what your plans are, what is happening in your life...
I need a second pot of coffee, not enough sleep has left me with dopey head and stupid spasms.
They just packed up most of the sandbags and it's raining buckets again, the ground is still saturated from the last heavy rains and the little creek I see outside my back window is raging whitewater.
I'm so chomping at the bit to do the spring cleaning, but it's pointless with all this mud, and I'm still burning wood at night.

Cleaning here anybody wanna help? We are under a winter storm watch, I want the warm weather, Need to do the spring cleaning like chazzy said. can't wait to throw open the windows.

Got up to 60 today, but foggy, damp and grey...I'm with ya'all...it's time to fling open windows, clean rugs, shop for bedding plants...but not untill this freakin' rain stops!

Gooooooooooooooooood mornin', afternoon, evenin', everyone! Boy howdy, we had some helacious storms blow through last night. I only know this 'cause I watched the weather this mornin'. I slept right through 'em! According to them, we had softball sized hail in some areas. Talk about a headache  It's supposed to be clearing up by mid morning and the weekend's lookin' to be a nice one.
Anyhow, I want to introduce everyone to a couple of characters that I just absolutely adore! Some of you may already know 'em.... Hoops and Yoyo. Google 'em, check out their site, look at the e cards... check out everything! They're awesome and hilarious! I love 'em!

Good evening! Bookmarking the hoops and yoyo to check out a little later when I have some relaxing time to myself, Moon...sure need some light stuff, some humor..gonna have to make a visit to the Foamy the Squirrel website too and see what new cartoons are up there...I luv Foamy!
Gorgeous day, first day of sunshine in such a long time, I soooo needed some sun, but spent allot of the day doing some necessary indoor spring cleaning. It should be nice enough this evening to take the poor old dog on a short walk, he loves his walks!

Good morning, the rain is coming back today...darn it...Ah well, I did get my front porch cleaned off yesterday while it was so nice, got my planters out and I'm ready to shop for plants. Need to dig out my hummingbird feeders soon too

Boy howdy, it's Wednesday! I was cleaning my son's glasses this morning and the lens popped right out of the frames. Brand new frames! I tried, to no avail, to put it back it... managed to jab my thumb with that stupid little screwdriver! Took forever to find my keys to take the kiddos to school... had to send my son without his glasses so his perfect attendance wouldn't be ruined... have to go 30 miles one way, back home, and 35 miles the other direction this afternoon... After almost bein' killed twice on the road this week, I'm not lookin' forward to my day at all!!!

Good mornin', afternoon, evenin', everyone Yesterday afternoon turned out a bit better than I expected. Can't say the same for this morning. We fell asleep on the couch only to have my 12 year old wake us up shortly before 3 a.m. telling us that we had some major storms headin' our way. All of Johnson county was under a tornado warning and the major part of the storm was coming right for us. We ended up gettin' everyone out of bed and into the center of the house when the sirens went off in town. Haven't seen any major damage this mornin' but it sounded horrible. I watched out the window as the lights from the gas rig in the next town just faded away as the storm came creepin' in. I think they sustained most of the damage north of Dallas, though. It was frightening, to say the least..... Drove the kiddos to school this mornin' and saw one of those 50 gallon metal drum trash cans 2/3 of the way up the stands at the football field! 
Juils, you need to chime in, let us know you're ok! It hit down your way, too.

I know what you're feelin' Moon, when the storms hit during the day, you can just step outside and read the skies and know what's up and where it's heading, but the middle of the night is terrifying.

Well, there were 5 confirmed tornados that morning. One was just north of the next town. None of them in juils' area. I think I saw her post in another forum so I think she's ok
And you're absolutely right, Chazzy. The only light we had was the lightning.... every time it flashed, I'd scan in one direction, wait for another strike to scan in the other direction. It was terrifying!

I gotta finish cleaning up my basement for tornado season...I started over a month ago, but then the dog and the husband got sick so everything is just piles of sorted crap down there, can barely get to my washing machine!
For the next 5 days or so, they are predicting some storms and temps down in the 30's....

Ahh...sunday nite..I've gotten hardly any sleep the past two nights and I'm sure I won't get much sleep tonight...
Finally convinced my hubs that losing all this sleep is really killing me so now we've agreed that on his nights off, he takes care of the old dog and I get to catch up on a little sleep during the night, and since he's a night worker anyway, he can sleep during the day like he usually does....gawd, the littlest things sure can mean allot...I'm so looking forward to tomorrow night, when I can crash out early and sleep in a real bed!

Good Morning Everyone! I hope the weekend is coming along nicely for you... just finished my morning chores for the family, taking a little break now. Sitting down, listening to the birds chirp, the sound so sweet to the ear, and visiting everyone here. The sun is out, (not sure how long it will be, since it does play alot of peek-a-boo around here, the humidity isn't tooo bad yet since it's only spring. Let's just hope that we have a nice spring, and it doesn't hurry into Summer quickly, hate the humidity here in the summer. Everyone have a nice weekend, enjoy!
