I might get fired........
I f'd up at work yesterday and it might just be enough for Hertz to terminate me.  In all honesty, I wouldn't blame them! I inadvertently violated company policy. I hope my boss gives me a break. 
What experiences have you had pertaining to being terminated? What infraction did you commit to get yourself sh*tcanned?

Ah bosses, they will either give you a break or make an example of you!
I've never been fired and a few jobs I sure tried like hell..but in my area sometimes employees are in shortage especially for our huge factories, that once they fire you, you wait a month and you're right back in.
I'm hoping for the best for ya, VB....job hunting sucks.

Good luck to you. Maybe you'll just get reminded of the company policy and that will be that. You are, after all, a human being, and humans do make mistakes at times.
But, make certain you understand your rights both with the company and what state law offers. Even though you may be involuntarily terminated, you may still be entitled to unemployment benefits. Do not arbitrarily accept that you may not be. If the initial app for benefits is declined, appeal it.

Good news False alarm......I called my boss today and asked her if I still had a job. She said yeh.  She seemed surprised that I called. I told her I was worried about it. She and I have had a pretty good relationship these 4 years I have worked for her and HERTZ so that might have had something to do with her decision not to sh*tcan me. I have been someone she could count on so......
Hey, it was only a 15 hour a week part time job but still I have never been fired, sh*tcaned, terminated..... and I didn't want to be "relieved" of my duties now.
Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement. You are truly good friends!!
