Employee Point System
The point system, where an employer sets up point values for different types of absenteeism and tardiness, once you "point out"...that's it, game over, you're gone...
It's kinda new to me, I've only had a few temporary jobs outside the home in the past 7 years or so, I'm mostly familiar with it through my husband.
Before the point system was so widely used, as long as you had a doctor's note, it was an excused absence and it wasn't held against you.
Now with the point system, even an excused absence with a doctor's note has at least a half a point value.
Is this employee point system used where you work? Do you consider the amount of points allowed reasonable or pretty strict?

Re: Employee Point System
The point system is pointless. I am an employer and have managed people for almost 40 years, and when an employer actually works with his or her employees, meaning being a good manager, then low and behold, production goes up and is usually much more accurate.
What a concept!!!!
