Modern Weddings
Ugh! Some of the "new traditions" or wedding fads...I dunno...I never cared for the reception wrestling match where the bride and groom smoosh cake all over each other's faces, and now it's the fad to have a photo shoot after the wedding with the bride trashing her bride's gown in the dirt, mud, whaterver...while wearing it!
I like to keep current, sure..but some things I think I just prefer the old traditions for...

Re: Modern Weddings
a co-worker got married this past saturday, spent 6 months looking for the perfect wedding dress, found it, paid $1,200 for it...the ceremony lasted 11 minutes. they had no reception....no party....30 minutes after the ceremony? she was spotted at the bar, in street clothes!!

Re: Modern Weddings
I like the new idea of very private ceremony (no more than 5 people) and a housewarming later. Especially if it is the 2nd or 3rd wedding

I like that too....I've seen too many women that are more in love with the big wedding than they are with the groom.
