Then what?
So, lets say "global warming" is solved and all of the pollutants in the atmosphere are eliminated.
What's going to protect us from a Martian invasion?

Well, if Orson Wells was right,(War of The Worlds) then it's not the pollutants that would kill of invading Martians, it would be the germs and naturally found bacteria on our planet that would do them in...

Re: Then what?
Who the f*ck do we blame for the increased solar activity that most assuredly increases the global temperatures, thus lending to "global warming"!
I've heard that Al Gore is traveling to all his global warming speeches in his brand new zero hydrocarbon emitting Hybrid Gulfstream jet. What a caring, globally responsible human being he is!!!

Re: Then what?
The original War of the Worlds book by HG Wells.... buy it, read it. Makes any of the movie remakes look like a kids bedtime story.
Not sure if you guys know but the original book is set near where I live here in the UK. The town nearby has a huge, lifesize martian in the shopping area that towers over everything.
Anyway.... I think there might be a few interplanetary friends here on WN.

Re: Then what?
Thanks for the refresher! H.G Wells wrote the book, that's what I was thinking of...Orson did the radio broadcast version that freaked out the world, wow...I can't imagine the panic that swept up so many people actually thinking the world was being invaded by Martians!

Re: Then what?
Yeah, Orson did the radio broadcast that freaked the world. Shows the power of media doesn't it.
The Victorian public back in 1898 thought the book was a true account too.
