The ones mamma warned you about...
When you young and living at home, did you ever sneak around to date or see someone that your parent(s) hated maybe even forbid you to see...or maybe your family hated them, but tolerated them?
Were you ever with someone that everyone in your life couldn't stand to be in the same room with?
Were you a guy that went for the type of girl that you couldn't take home to mother?
Have you ever been the girl that went for bad boys even though a relationship with a felon that had too many restraining orders in his history made a real and good future with them pretty improbable?
Did you ever find yourself in trouble because of a beau that couldn't stay out of trouble?

Re: The ones mamma warned you about...
When I lived at home there was only one my parents couldn't stand My stepfather forbid me to see him He and I fought for weeks about my dating the guy One night I came home from my after school job and my stepfather was waiting with the days paper in hand The part he wanted me to read was where the young man I wanted to date had been arrested for taking a girl across the state line and raping her

I won't say I was forbidden to see him but my Father did not like him. and made that very clear. And yes I still see him in fact I married him . My father told me It would only last a year. well i guess he never said what year cause we are going to celebrate 25 years this year .

My parents hated allot of my boyfriends, and I didn't like the ones they picked for me...the ones they liked were clean cut and polite on the outside, but pure evill on the inside...

I'm 19, my ex boyfriend was a bit of a trouble maker, but nothing too bad, my parents liked him, but thought he was a bad influence.
currently, i have been hookiing up with a guy who is 24, and is in and out of jail frequently, the most recent time, he spent a few nights for getting in a bar fight...or something long those lines. we dont have any emotional attachment to each other...and im not sure id be able to actually "be with" someone who was that "bad:

I suspect reverse psychology -- your father only pretended not to like him. After all, who could possibly not like Pa? 25 years just proves that maybe Father Knows Best after all!!! LOL

No, my father did not like him and still to this day does not talk with us unless he has to. and we live in the same town. It was a good thought though Amber.

I still swear that the maim reason my parents love my husband is because of how much they hated the guy I was with before him.
