Nervous energy
How does nervous energy and anxiety translate into your life? Do you pace, chain smoke, bite your nails, eat allot, fidget, get a headache,etc...?

Re: Nervous energy
I'm a Barrister and i get my stress out in the local boxing club. It is great exercise and really helps getting your anger and pent up energy out.
Hot passionate sex is also good

Re: Nervous energy
I've been spending the past couple of days at home by the phone or in a hospital waiting room, I get so fidgety just sitting there waiting, I do read the magazines but my crappy vision only allows me to do that for short periods.
Friday when the hospital visit was scheduled and I could prepare, I packed my purse full of little 100 calorie packs of stuff, and candy.
Right now, at home, I keep trying to finally catch up on my massive sleep lose, but find myself jumping up every few minutes to do something.

That would be when I would pour myself a glass of wine and take a bath with a good book.

Re: Nervous energy
I pace alot, or if I'm at work I try and find something physical to do to keep my mind busy. The last thing I want to do is eat alot.
I try to think of all of my friends and family giving me a to help ease my nervousness.
For you Chazzy .

Re: Nervous energy
Blimey... what a question.
I don't get stressed or nervous really. I've always wondered why and I think it's because my brain is constantly on the go (i'm a designer, thinking is my job). So basically I must release any tension or nerves through the brainstorming and creative stuff I have to do every day.
Try it, if you have an inner monologue or visual mind. Set yourself little thinking tasks... singing all the lines from a song in your head, putting yourself in a movie in your head, or word or number games.
You'll be a bit more chilled in no time. With any luck you might be able to grow some nails.

Re: Nervous energy
I've been told that masturbation is a relief for nervous energy...and or anxiety....all the medical manuals say so...maybe someone at WN could corroborate this...hmmm

Re: Nervous energy
I figure a way to resolve the thing that's causeing the problem. This is usually accomplished by doing something that allows me the time to think.
