Are you ready?
I know politics is verboten here but in general terms, are you ready for a president that is either of a different gender or race from the other 47 or so presidents that went before?
Personally, I think that about an hour after the inauguration next January, the novelty will have worn off and we will be back to "normal" and we'll be slamming the new president as usual.
What do you think? Try to keep it as non-political as possible!

This is America, having someone of a different gender or race is inevitable and I say if the time is right the time is now. I won't say one way or another which candidate is best in my opinion. I do know one stands above the other in the integrity race and that would be my choice. I do have concerns about Obama's safety if he is elected because of what happened to MLK, etc. I would hate for something to happen to such an amazing human being...and he can dance too...LOL!

I don't think either one of them will be in danger. I think people in general are ready to move ahead and "mix it up".

I personally don't care about the gender or the race of the candidate. Its what they stand for. They are all dirty, lying, rotten crooks. We have to figure which one is the lessor of the evils.

I agree that about an hour after the induction of whomever, it won't matter one ounce. He or she will just be another president for someone to criticize for something.
This campaign will end sometime soon, won't it? It is getting old.

The only problem, whoever is the Prez, is that the opposite party will do all it can to mess with him/her.
And look at all the time our beloved Congress has spent on steroids.
Heck, I wonder if they spend near that amount of time on fighting drugs in America?

I saw a joke the other day, that was on the back of a port o potty truck, it said "Caution, this truck may be hauling political promises." And I am sorry, but that is all I hear, is promises, promises, promises......

it's about time!! yes, america is ready for either a woman or different race in the White House....we think we are so progresssive and then look around and see many other countrires..some even "backward" asia and africa have women leaders...my God,,the friggin Brits beat us to that with Margaret!!!

It doesn't matter as there isn't a "lesser of the evils" in this case.
