Would you let your daughter out - dressed like that?
You know the kind of girls I mean...
There's no way Hapatariette is going out with next to nothing on, but thank god and anybody else involved that some men have lower moral standing than I do it makes it fun just to stand outside bars.

If you're young enough to still be home living with mommy and daddy, then ya gotta respect them and their "house rules"...although most just roll their skirts up higher after leaving the house, or pack along a back pack of parent unapproved clothing to change into once out of sight of the parnets.

I remember having a conversation with my 14 year old daughter 5 years ago
If you walk outside wearing a swim suit people are going to think you are swimming...
If you walk outside with what you are wearing right now - you are sending a different message. You are telling people you are walking the streets for sale.
Now think about what message you want to send.

I think it's appalling, just how little the youth of today wear, particularly as the teens of today tend to be on the tubby side.
I also wonder why the young men feel the need to display their undercrackers way above their waist line, and have their jeans sagging to the knees?

i agree with you, i was coming home on sat night and i passed a group of kids, they must have been all around the 12- 15 age group, if you took all of what they were wearing you might have got enough to cover one of them properly !!!

I see the show cops on occassion, watchin those kids try to run wearin those pants, they usually trip themselves...lol

the business about the baggy pants is just another way young people have of rebelling against their parents and upbringing. lets blame that on "rap",just another reason for me to hate it.....lol

Nothing worse than seeing flesh oozing out between too tight shorts and too short tights.
And that's just the view in the mirror...

More than a few times I have said to a young man sporting low riding drawers, "careful there, you almost lost your pants"!!

Of course now the fad is wearing them inside out. I keep asking them if they got dressed in the dark. Another new one is they are wearing them, is inside out and backwards.

Re: Would you let your daughter out - dressed like that?
While I agree that some of the styles out there these days are not what I was used to/liked in the 80s and even during college in the early 90s I think that the saying "The more things change the more they stay the same" will always hold true..and that youth have a right to find their own style - including learning the hard way what is and isn't right for them and what is or isn't acceptable at different places....
Come on y'all...most of us in this particular thread are in our 30s and 40s.... Y'all are acting like you never rebelled yourselves lol...
I remember when "mini" skirts that came down to the knees
were "reprehensible and not sending the proper message to others when you go out in society" LOL
As a side note.. it would be interesting to see how your kids would react to finding out the lifestyle y'all are in.. I venture to say most don't know y'all are into this..
Anyone your kids age can lie saying they're 18 and older..if they know your email addys and if you have pics on here..
Y'all prepared for the day when your kids say "Hey Dad, Mom... why are you trying to control how I live and act when you are doing my friends parents??"
Points to Ponder

Re: Would you let your daughter out - dressed like that?
Ah, doesn't matter what generation...parents are parents and kids are kids...kids will rebel and dress inappropriately and parents will not want their own kids doing what they did.
What adults do here, is quite alright...cuz they are adults and aware of any consequences of their actions, while kids, hell you know, their are normally rowdy, rebellous and think they are immortal and bullet proof..."it won't happen to me"...and need their parents to lay out boundaries.
