Sims, fake people with fake stuff
Has life become so mundane, that we have to play simulated peoples lives? We have spent a few hundred dollars on stuff that isn't even real, and people are getting married for real as sims online. Is it me, or is this madness?

But the ironic thing, is that it takes real money to pay for some of these games, as they call it.
I guess I would like to be a vampire.

I got neices and nephews that play some sort of online game all the time, they collect "stuff" and have such a rating that they can sell their game online game account on ebay for hundreds...I don't get it ....

playing games, online or not, is just another form of escapism, and personally it's one I find a lot more engaging than sitting down in front of the television. It's easy to say it's a waste of time because it's not 'real' but neither are the people in soap operas.
Yes, some of them cost real money - but so do your cable channels :p

I know gamers, they're alright...as long as they aren't game addicts, same goes...as you say... for TV or even internet porn...it's all good unless you're a addict ruining your life and tearing apart your family...Doesn't matter what your "drug" is...being addicted is no good, finding a source of entertainment that suits and amuses you, that's good.

Agree 100%, and yes, maybe Sims Online can be kinda boring. World Of Warcraft on the other hand is a whole different story... HORDE FTW!!!!

I think of SIMs like I think of alcohol, just something to blow money on, which I don't like doing.
WoW on the otherhand, that's something worth paying for. I got one of every class! (For the Horde!)
