Re: why is the grass greener on the other side
Ah dammit, can't think of the guys name right now, Moon knows who he is...Don something maybe Dyer, Dryer Dry.......been around way before Dr. Phil...he writes books about personal philosphy and motivation...stuff like that...
Anyway, this guy describes some as grazers, we just focus on the pasture we're in, grazing away...taking notice of where we are, not where we are not and some of us are always wanting what's not there for us, always looking for what we don't have that looks better than what we do have.

Isn't this what they call------dreams, hope and ambition?

Re: why is the grass greener on the other side
Could it be because you are focusing on the children inside the house instead of the lawn?

Whelp...It's kinda hard to sum up a whole chapter of a book but he's mainly saying utilize what you have and follow your own path, instead on trampling on all kinds of good things to get to something you think is going to be better. Kinda like...you can have everything you want, but first you need to learn what it is that you really want. Always pursuing greener grass may not be what makes you happy.
