Spears' rock bottom
Just checked the news and heard that Britney has been committed.
Gawd I just hope a evaluation, and a good prescription or two will somehow magically make her the mother her sons so deserve...

Re: Spears' rock bottom
Originally, I had no pity for her but it is very sad. I heard on the news this morning, a guy talking about how her mom and dad should do nothing but spend all their time with her in california and be there with and for her. I'll bet she has no one that truely cares for her.Talk is cheap, how do you support your child from a thousand miles away. It's very sad, not like they have to give up jobs to be with her, I'm sure they have leached off her for long enough. Time for them to give something

Re: Spears' rock bottom
The whole mess makes me very sad too, I hope she gains enough sanity to make her totally uninteresting to leeches and photographers...

Re: Spears' rock bottom
Her worst enemy, besides the reflection in her mirror, are the hangers on she employs who have no apparent concern for her mental health. I imagine all celebrities want "yes" men surrounding them, telling them how great they are, regardless of how badly they act.
Oh and Britney's mom raising the younger daughter's baby? That ought to turn out r-e-a-l well!!

Re: Spears' rock bottom
I think it is sad for everyone concerned. I know I wouldn't know what to do if I had a child that was 24 years old behaving this way. My oldest child gave me hell for a while but I've stayed steady with my actions and he's finally come around. Britney was a child prodigy of sorts with her fame and I don't think any parent is prepared to handle that...adults who become famous certainly don't know how to handle it. Some parents of child stars handle it well, Hilary Duff, Justin Timberlake, etc.
I think the parents became just as caught up in the spotlight that blinded their daughter as she was. It was a train heading into a tunnel with a wall on the other end. I think the moral to the story is you don't let your children, famous or run of the mill, be in control. They can't handle it without the guidance of their mom and dad...and when mom and dad are misguided you get Todd Bridges, Danny Bonaduce, and the likes of Britney Spears. The only difference is that when the guys screw up it isn't as big a deal because the "mother" of their children can cope.
I hope that wherever it may be Miss Britney ends up that she has a strict regimen, unlike anything she has had in her life up unto this point. She is a spoiled brat and I don't know that the narcissistic behavior will change.
