hidden identity
for one reason or another we hide our full identity on this site.
If you were somewhere and you recognised something or someone, would you go up to them and say Hi?

Re: hidden identity
Actually, most of the ppl here know my real name, where i live, what i do. In fact about a year ago, i tried to arrange a bbq with as many members as i cud, just so i cud meet them. It didn't work for several reasons, location, ie where to have it, then there is trying to find a time when everyone cud find a way to have the same time off, whic some of them wud spend part of that time traveling. But, yes, given a twist of fate where i saw them, damn right i'd go introduce myself

Re: hidden identity
Yes, I definately would. I honestly think this is more of a community and I'd be neighborly if I saw someone.

Re: hidden identity
I think this is an overwhelming yes from most of the regulars here. I think that it would be nice to see some of the people here on the street, then you can be assured that they are real!

Re: hidden identity
well, now wait just a minute...
of course i would...
but just how the heck am i supposed to recognize some of you, when you don't have your face posted on you profile? or some of you don't even have ANY pic, at all...
so, if you see me on the streets, and i don't say "HI"? that's why!!

Re: hidden identity
I like to be somewhat careful, if a friend can recognize me, so could a stalker type too...I do have face photos but in real life, I wear my hair completely different, wear baggy comfortable clothes and a helluva lot less make up...so I don't think any one would really recogize me from my profile photos.

Re: hidden identity
oh yeah! I would definitely approach them and say hello...introduce myself "in the flesh"...and see where it leads...and if it was a male person..buy him a cocktial and shoot the breeze about WN and life.

Just look for my shoes...lol!
I don't post a picture because I had a bit of a stalker thing going on...I found out the hard way that it wasn't smart to share my photo. I'm just a standard silly red head with great shoes, what more do you need to know?

Re: hidden identity
The stalker/obsessed person thing really sucks, It would make me quite nervous to have someone recognize me from this site. I try to be careful too about letting too much personal info fly around about me.

Re: hidden identity
I'd be more than happy to say Hi, and vice versa.
Not sure if i'd recognise a guy purely from his manhood though, unless of course, we were all in WN' very own Nakedville.
