We are so ready for summer
Woke up today with -14 and windchill of -29. I know it was colder when Pa got up for work at 3:30 am.
I feel sorry for all the people that have to work outside in this weather.

Re: We are so ready for summer
Here it hasn't been so bad this year...we would prefer to skip our deep summer though. How about we skip winter and summer and just have spring and fall this year?

Re: We are so ready for summer
Its so depressing this time of year. Wake up in the dark, leave off work its dark, always wet, always cold, usually windy.
I wish I could hibernate.
Love the summer tho when the temperatures rise and we can all wear less clothes!!

Been lucky in my part of the UK so far not had any snow, but i actually like the snow, makes for some nice scenes till it melts and gets slushy

Living in a country that has summer 6 out of 12 months I think I don't mind a little cold, I even enjoy it

Re: We are so ready for summer
I'm not done with winter yet, I love all the seasons! I love bundling up on a cold day and gathering up the firewood for the night, sitting in front of a warm glowing fire. Walking the dog at night, the sky and stars just seem closer to the earth and the air is crisper, not enough snow this year though....

Re: We are so ready for summer
I think we need a few more months of way sub-zero temps. I really like how the truck misfires because of the fuel trying to gel. Several more feet of snow would be nice too.
Just kiddding. I hope everyone has survived the extreame cold ok.

In my opinion, Winter should last from Christmas Eve until New Years Day. Thats plenty.

Re: We are so ready for summer
Glad we didn't get the snow/cold the weatherman was calling for. Wasn't thinking, got up to let the dogs out and when that -2 wind hit me, things wanted to hide up around the stomache some day I'll learn to put on more clothes before letting the dogs out.
Oh well, spring is just around the corner.......

i agree with ya Chazzy!! i too like the seasons. all of them..kinda miss that sometimes here...but, all in all ..its good.
although i totally relish the cool, almost cold nightly dog walks where the air is fresh and crisp....a little chill...the few days i get that here...ususally about 5 or 6 all year long at about 5:30am..i am up early sittin outside on the deck with a cup of jo in my hand...ahhhhh
