Allstate
Allstate asked the PUC of Florida for a 40 percent increase in it's rates. The PUC asked Allstate to send reasons why it should be allowed. Allstate sent the PUC over 20 pages of protests about the rate increase not being allowed.
The PUC revolked Allstates authority to sell insurance in Florida.  
The current policy holders are covered until the end of thier policies.

I must ask about that at work... that could mean a LOT of work coming our way 
(as programmers of insurance company software, not as insurance salespeople)

Aw gee, now that's too bad. Allstate is much to powerful, and sets the standard for all claims that are paid out. They screwed us over in Ma's accident claim. I lost $1000's.
