Deadbeat parents.
Does it seem like a deadbeat mother is treated differently than a deadbeat father?
Is it a double standard social view that seeps into the courts?
Is it that men who have full custody are just less likely to file for support from a ex-wife or pursue it as strongly? Do they just have a whole other attitude about unpaid child support?

Re: Deadbeat parents.
The Family Court system is so biased and corrupt in our neighborhood that two fathers filed a pro se federal lawsuit against the judge, the full court, itself, the Domestic Relations Department, and all the parties involved in their individual cases, including their own lawyers....for Conspiracy among other things. The fathers' story was typical about excessive support assessments and custody enforcement.
Needless to say, the publicity was a brief sensation and the lawsuit was eventually dismissed with prejudice by the federal court system.
So much for justice! Nothing matters except the money.

Re: Deadbeat parents.
I'm in total agreement with you Hobs. The father still has to pay his child support, even though the mother does not have to allow the father access to his child. Here there is laws that can put the mother behind bars if she refuses access to the father, but come on now, what judge will put a mother behind bars for that????? Its more like a little slap on the hands, " now now play nice".

Re: Deadbeat parents.
I might be going through this soon so I checked out my options....If I move out I have to pay child support and spousal support even though my wife makes the same amount of money that I do. If she moves out, leaving me with the kids, I still have to pay her spousal support and she wouldn't have to pay any child support. Sound fair?????

Re: Deadbeat parents.
Seems the legal system deliberately creates deadbeat parents. If nothing else, it provides lawyers with a steady income over a career. How do the kids benefit from all the nonsense that goes on? Never could figure that one out.
