Re: Lifes little turns
Wow, that shift change is a killer I know, I don't work outside the home, but my husband does and has changed shifts often, right now he's working 12 hour shifts, night till morning and I always try to adapt myself in some ways to his work schedule.
There was a study and report about a month ago on night shift workers and the increase among them for certian diseases and illnesses.
Happy to see you back again!

You are right, those shift changes are killers. It takes me days to recover.

I don't like changing shifts. It can screw up a body good. The company Ma works for does this shift rotation. Every two weeks you move to another shift. I don't know how a persons body can adapt to the change. Thanks goodness Ma doesn't have to change shifts like that.

Re: Lifes little turns
several years ago i worked in a local casino. the nastiest shift (for me anyway) was going to work at 6 pm and getting off at 4 am !it was really tough to get off at that time of the moning and then drive the 46 miles home !i was delighted when some of my co-workers asked to have me transferred to the day shift, since i never was very good at sleeping during the day.....................
