Re: new vips and yahoo
For safety and privacy reasons, we do recommend you keep your contact with members on site...at least for awhile till you get to know them as legitimate members and not someone one scamming for "pay for view" or "pay for chat"
Once you go offsite and they have your yahoo id, or your primary email address, you could be looking at a whole mess of problems.
If you are ever soliticated by PM, use the "report this message" link that shows up at the bottom of every message when you open it to read.
You can also report members annonymously with the "report this profile" link found at the bottom of every member's profile page. Once you click the report link, a text box will pop up and there's plenty of space to type out why you are reporting them.

Re: new vips and yahoo
I got a message from a VIP which was curiously like a russian-bride scam, if that sounds familiar?
Any tips on who I should message with the details?
I'm not offended or anything, and I could be wrong. But it might be worth looking into?

Re: new vips and yahoo
There's a report message link below each and every message, use it when you feel something's wrong and I will take care of it.
Thanks,
abs

Every profile has a "Report It" link too, if you see someone who is advertising professional services or has contact info in their ad, just click it!

Re: new vips and yahoo
That works. I received a message from what appeared to be one of those Nigerian scammers. Hit the report it button, and poof, their gone. I have also received many of those contact me on Yahoo messages. But I would just tell them that I don't have Yahoo, which I don't, and most of the time I don't hear back.

Re: new vips and yahoo
If you recieve a first messege from anyone, and they want you to contact on YIM, use the report button. this is the only way to take care of this.
From my experieince, anyone that does this is only out to scam you!!

Have received quite a few, but ignored them all. Only report them if they carry on. When they get ignored I think they tend to move on.
