Re: life skill
Common sense skills have been replaced in all of our schools with a new skill. Its called run to mommy and daddy.
Homework too difficult, get your parents to complain (or do it for you). Grades are slipping, get the parents to call and have it changed. Don't want to do gym, Mommy and Daddy come to rescue you from a little sweat.
I'm seriously afraid for the future of our country, considering that all of our political leaders are now being raised to not think for themselves.

If my kids are having trouble with their homework, I HELP them understand it... sometimes the teachers don't take the time to explain it.. believe me, it does happen. Grades better not slip and if they do, they better be brought back up! Gym? I push my kids to do their best and never give up. Ultimately, it's their decision.

We need more parents in this world that actually give a shit and take the time to be there.

Re: life skill
More than likely, the the parents would be reported for child abuse if they don't do what the kid says.
