Old school/New school
Are there some things that you prefer the old models, older versions, old ways of, over newer improved things?
(Coke Classic is a good example)
I love the look of older cars, but I realize that they aren't as practical in many ways as newer models.
I love the sophiticated look of '40's fashion over baggy pants hangin half off and thongs, bra straps showing.
A modern clothes washer over a scrub board and tub, a clothes dryer is a must have really, but any chance I have to line dry outside...I'll take it!

old school: fashions of 40's and 50's, the hour glass figure and the high heels.
old style cars, jaguars, old style cruise ships full of elegance.
Old style manners and respect.
New style: confidence and freedom women have.
XJ8, washing machines, computers

I miss the old fashoined way you could beat children if they were being evil shits. Not that I'm old enough to remember it, but I see a lot of kids who would benefit from a quick kick, or maybe a bit of a murder.

Maybe you shoulda added a yellow laughing emoticon or an LOL to that, lest someone might actually think you may be a child beating murderer?

Re: Old school/New school
I don't believe in child murder, however, there have been times as a parent...LOL...especially with a teenager!
I do believe parents are way too accommodating and concerned about how people will view disciplinary action of their children. I've been known to leave someplace with my child by the collar if they are acting out because they need to know I mean business. I think that if..."Honey, you are making Mommy very upset by your behavior," doesn't work then its time for something else. Especially if they are pushing you...I rarely spank, talking to them works, it just sometimes you have to remove them from the situation.
I do love classic clothing, I'm not a slave to being a fashion plate. When I buy something trendy I won't spend alot of money on it because I know it will go out of style quickly. I also love that high heel shoes have made a comeback. You can feel sexy even just knowing you have them on. I wasn't into the cloggy, chunky shoe era much.
And...whatever happened to old fashioned romance, you know the kind where men opened doors, held your hand...sent you flowers...

I know there are allot of good ways to heat a house, clean, green and efficient...but I sure love that crackling fire in the winter.

Re: Old school/New school
OLD:
Good solid built furniture using real wood rather than pressboard and veneer.
Old car engines where you could do most repairs yourself rather than hook up a computer and it tells you what you have to do.
NEW:
Give me a thong or g-string pantie on a woman over granny panties anyday.
Digital cameras. Gotta love the instant photo, sure you had polaroids in the past but it's not the same, no zoom for those nice closeups you see here on WN
