8 billion dollars?
Did I hear that right? That an estimated 8 billion dollars worth of gift cards went unused last year? 8 billion dollars... are you kidding me??
So many of us think that a gift card is the perfect present but allot of us are just giving away money to mass merchandisers.
I bought one gift card this year, and next year maybe none, at least no one on my list will forget to return a bad or unwanted gift....apparently, gift cards are just too easy to put away somewhere and forget about?
Speaking of gift cards, has anyone ever had a problem with expiration dates on them, or the small print declaring they loose value the longer you hold onto them?

WOW that is a lot of money! I have heard of people thinking that they threw them away with the wrapping paper, but that was when they were paper not the cards.

I'm terrible when it comes to gift cards, i tend to put them somewhere safe and yes, you've guessed it, forget about them, and by the time i find then again, they are out of date!!!!

I just checked...or tried to check the fine print on the back of the qift card I bought to give....impossible for me to read because of my vision impairment, and....part of it is covered by a "scatch off this area with a coin" silvered part....
